"To me, these drawings are practical and functional. They are a tool, part of the process to bring the sculpture to life. They are drawn in CAD (Computer Aided Design) in order to work out the feasibility of the artwork and design. In addition if I'm not fabricating the work, it allows me to get accurate costings from the manufacturer and gives them a template to work from." |
The drawing here is an 1:1 scale wireframe image of a Neon Nixie light. This is a part for a new large scale public edition of the award winning work "This Much I'm Worth". These drawing were made to finalise the design and print out 1:1 scale working drawings of each digits for the Neon Maker to cost up and work from.
